The Lanús municipality has announced that the provincial dengue vaccination campaign is ongoing. It is important to note that this campaign is aimed at individuals aged 15 to 59 who reside in the province of Buenos Aires. Official information and updates are available on the provincial dengue website.
Within the district, the designated vaccination points are the Interzonal Evita Hospital (Río de Janeiro 1910, Lanús Oeste, Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.) and the Narciso López Zonal Hospital (O’Higgins 1333, Lanús Este, Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.).
Local health authorities have also emphasized that dengue is not transmitted from person to person but rather through the bite of the Aedes aegypti mosquito. They urged the public to maintain preventive measures: eliminating standing water in containers, using repellent, and seeking early medical attention if symptoms appear.
To get vaccinated, residents must register through the “Mi Salud Digital Bonaerense” app, after which they will receive an email with the assigned date, time, and location. According to information from the Argentine News Agency, the vaccination schedule involves doses with a three-month interval. The vaccine is contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding, as well as for immunocompromised individuals or those undergoing high-dose chemotherapy/corticosteroids.
